This is where I keep a small archive of my art.

Hello, friend!

I'm here to talk you through some artwork of mine, and hopefully help you better understand my process, as well as display what I'm capable of. Once you reach the bottom of this page, I'm sure you'll know just how passionate I am about my work!

Style mimicing exercises:

a collage of sketches depicting the artist in the style of Clone High.

In order to work in larger teams with people whose art styles don't match the way I like to draw, I thought it would be useful to practise mimicing art styles. In this example, I'm replicating the art style of Clone High, a television show which aired on MTV in 2002 and was recently rebooted with 2 new seasons. These are just rough sketches, which I used more to get the feel of how I wanted the character to look rather than exactly refine the expressions and poses. I spent time reflecting on what types of things happen at Clone High, and tried to have my character included in common tropes of the show. This includes played-up romance arcs, typical student struggles, and of course, Clone High's iconic "hands of sincerity".
